Directed by Rui Frati, the company of the Théâtre de l'Opprimé Paris (CTO-Paris) currently has about fifteen professional actors. Since its creation in 1979 by Augusto Boal, it has continued to develop the Theater of the Oppressed method in France and abroad through forum theater performances, artistic practice workshops and professional training courses.

Every two years, it also creates a play by contemporary authors.
